Laying Down the Roots v2.10 is a beta version of Laying Down the Roots, the first level in World 1 of the Story mode of BFDI: Branches. This version of the level was used in the YouTube video BFDI: Branches - Level 1 Gameplay BETA as a teaser to the game. Clearing it would show a different end screen.

The level was designed by Meester Tweester. It was inspired by the level design of World 1-1 from Super Mario Bros. on the Nintendo Entertainment System, especially its way of teaching players the game without text.
