This is the list of background themes usable in Create mode of BFDI: Branches. Although most themes do not change the game, silhouette has the added cosmetic effect of turning the foreground layer entirely black, which can make platforming more difficult. The 5b themes are backgrounds taken from BFDIA 5b, a previous platformer game in the Battle For Dream Island series which inspired BFDI: Branches. Additionally, the background of the latest level the player has played will also get used for the Title Screen. The background of the demo's Story mode level select menu will change to match the currently selected level as well.
